For this Hit you will be completing a decision making task. The task will have you choose between a set of alternatives in order to earn the best possible reward.

The overview for the task is as follows:

1. You will read the instructions.

2. You will complete a practice task to ensure understanding of the task.

3. You will then complete the task.

4. After the task is complete, you will submit the results to Amazon. You will receive 25 cents for the hit, plus a bonus. This bonus is determined by the decisions made during the experiment.

Instructions:

Overview:

1. The session will be divided into 10 rounds.

2. In each round you will be presented with three boxes: Box A, Box B, and Box C. Each box is labeled with the amount of money it could contain, and the probability that the box will contain the reward. The box will either have the amount of the reward, or nothing at all. For example Box A could have an 11% chance of containing 5 cents. This amount will be different for each round.

3. You will have the opportunity to look inside each box. This is the only way to determine whether the box contains the reward. The cost of looking into a box is 5 cents. You are able to take a look into multiple boxes within a round.

4. For each set of boxes, one of the rewards will have already been revealed. This reward will always be 5 cents, and will cost nothing to acquire.

5. The round will end when you take a box. You are only able to take one box per round. There is no cost for taking a box.
